As mentioned in a previous post, it is highly recomended to build a box to hold the removed playfield, so that you don’t break wires, lights or coils underneath.
It also means the playfield is on a good stable surface, which makes it easier to clean and remove plastics etc.
I had seen other people do something very similar, which gave me the idea. But the other examples I had seen, didn’t have enough notches and I’m surprised nothing was broken. Also I halved the back piece so I could easily flip the playfield around and see everything underneath and I made sure the height of the box was over 20cm so nothing touched the table the box was sat on.
Anyway, I spent several hours today building this. To my surprise the playfield fits perfectly and I cannot see any parts being crushed. 🙂
